Dear Sal,
Thank you for all your work and sharing with us. I enjoyed your latest poetry i
as I always did but Eight and To My Mother really touched my heart. Your images are so vivid. I could almost see and hear her.
Your poem, Icicles is absolutely beautiful. I will be looking forward to your poetry over the coming years.
Sincerely,
Marcia

I found the poems written for your mom especially touching. May God bless her and keep her well as she enters her 97th year.

Sharon, I'm glad you liked my poem, but I must confess I have no Aunt Ophelia. She's just a character who turns up a lot in my poems.

Sharon and I wish you and Bill a Merry and Holy Christmas!

Ingrid,

On Sundays I try my best to kneel at church despite the pain, but I figure it's the least sacrifice I can make to a God Who gave me everything, including, first and foremost, salvation.

'Long distance runner' sounded as if you wrote about me. Some days I even ask God if He minds if I don't kneel that particular day. I think He understands. When I had to wait tables to feed my children, they worked just fine as I carried 75 pound trays around and little people around at home. Now, at 64, I think the Lord is letting me rest my knees.
